Notifications in Communities drive reach, impact and engagement
Communities are powerful learning environments where your audience can come together to connect, share knowledge, ask questions and learn from you—and from each other.
But a critical part of driving that connection and engagement is ensuring that all your members always know what’s going on in your community, and have a reason to jump in and engage.
Today, we’ve expanded our web-app notifications in Communities, which ensures all your members will be notified at once, whenever you create a post in your community.
Your Notification Center is in the header of your Community, and a red dot over the bell icon will alert you and your members about the following activity:
- When an Admin creates a new post
- When a member is added to a Community
- When someone @ mentions you or a member in a post
- When someone comments on your or a member’s post
- When someone replies to your or a member’s comment
Click below to learn more about web notifications, and how they can help boost activity and engagement in your community.
Note that this feature is currently on a phased rollout. We are working hard to bring this feature to all Creators so your members never miss your posts.

Gain insight to your customer’s behaviour with Google Analytics 4
Google's latest analytics tool – Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is now available to install in the Thinkific App Store!
We recommend installing GA4 as soon as possible before Google stops processing data through Universal Analytics properties on July 1, 2023.
GA4 analyzes traffic and conversion metrics across web pages so you can better understand the customer journey. This data helps Creators to see how students engage with their content, helping them to make informed decisions on marketing and sales strategies.
Learn more about Google Analytics 4 and find step-by-step setup instructions in this article.

Turn your Community into a classroom with Live Events
Learning is more impactful when it’s communal, and ongoing rituals of coming together help to maintain student engagement, momentum and loyalty. Today, your students can get even more value from Thinkific Communities with Live Events.
Within your Community, you’ll see Events in the left menu. From here, you can schedule, organize, manage, promote and display synchronous learning activities, including lectures, workshops, Q&A, coaching and more.
Your members will see upcoming events on the Community homepage and within the events page, and from there they can click into any event and mark themselves as interested.
With everything you need to promote and track your upcoming Live Events, you can start to learn which topics resonate most with your community, and in turn deliver even more value to your members.
We built this with flexibility in mind, so you can use the video conferencing software of choice, and then simply copy-paste the link into your Community to run your live event.
